Re fastback.

It's a solid body 24.4 scale neck. Maple top with mahogany body and neck.  It's a slightly smaller profile then a Les Paul but just as thick.  The countour of the shape distributes the weight more to the lower back bout. That makes it sufficiently heavy but not as heavy as a solid body LP and makes the weight more manageable for holding.  The neck is more of a 'student" profile. still somewhat meaty with less width at the nut. It's very sturdy but has softer curves as if intended for teenage girls.  Nonetheless it sounds and plays great.  When I first got it I went through playing all my LP standards from long ago. G'n'R, Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Peter Frampton etc.  It did a really good job of holding it's own.  The only thing I think is substandard is the actual tone control.

I always prefer a smaller bodied model for gigging. It the best thing about Les Pauls IMO. Smaller still, even better.

I might struggle with that neck though.

You could replace the tone pot if needed, so I'm guessing it probably isnt that bad.

The florentine LP version is obviously an even smaller profile than that of the 339, but from what I've heard (only vids sadly) it doesnt sound anything like a hollowbody at all.
