Water in the northern hemisphere, goes down the plughole clockwise

It works the same way with beer and antifreeze, but not in the antipodes

There its anticlockwise, so baby aussies heads get anti-baptised

Like gurgling corkscrews those helix go,

In Bourdeaux, Oslo and Felixstowe

But not so, in Borneo, where there’s a reverse spiral flow.

Is there a part of the world, where water isn’t swirled,

As it goes down the sink? well I think, just maybe at the equator

I don’t know for sure, but will find out sooner or later.

And who lives there anyway? a few macaws and the odd alligator

Ill have to have a look myself, I owe it to mankind,

My family understands

and do endorse, unless of course,

I try to leave them behind

Surely you must have watched the water going down the plug hole? It goes down in a swirl. Depending on which side of the equator you are, the swirl will either be clockwise or anticlockwise. Any wiser?
