Deal with us recrd label

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have no much knowledge about this, but I think you don't need to move to the US. There's a group here in Japan that I used to like that is dealing with a Japanese label for production, distribution and tours inside Japan, and with an American one (Fueled by Ramen), for production, distribution and tours in both Europe and America. And they are still based in Japan. What I don't know is if for recording they had to go to any studio in America, or if they could just record for them from Japan. But I guess where do you live it's not a problem. Maybe the only issue is that an American company might not want to pay you in Euro, so you have to open an account in in a bank that works with US dollars...

Most major labels have offices internationally. There are many factors which might have you relocating at least on a temporary basis. That just goes with being a musician. You could be recording at a studio miles from home, touring etc.
