Corona Isolation Covid-19 Song Challenge #2 Animal

Write a song about an animal

 

 

 

We have a number of challenges to help keep you entertained during self-isolation in response to Covid-19, the new corona virus.

 

We will be posting 5 song challenges today. It is up to you if you take part in one or all 5. We will promote all the songs that take part using the hashtags #sharethis & #covid19songchallenge

 

This second challenge is to write a song that is about or relates to an animal. It is up to you if it is about a type of animal or a specific animal, if it is serious or comedic, about a cause or if it is lyrics only or words and music.

 

If you do write words and music you earn special kudos points if you post a video of you performing the song for everyone to enjoy.

 

Try and post your finished piece by close of this Friday, 27th March.

I like this challenge, I think it’s quite a funny idea to write about like a pet hahaha. Here’s my addition to this challenge- written about my little kitty Cleo! :))) I hope it at least makes someone smile hahaha

 

‘Fur Baby’

Bright green eyes

In the ebon night 

Pitter patter paws

‘cross wooden floors and tiles 

 

Fuzzy as a chicken; 

Scaling walls and trees.

Cuter than a baby new, 

And so eternally

It’s a pretty kitty city 

and she’s the kitty queen

If you’ve seen her strut these halls 

Then you know what I mean

Oh how you drive me crazy

Why do you knead with your claws

Soft striped coat

Absolutely! It doesn’t need to be a sophisticated multitrack recording. Even a simple webcam performance is good.

I don't know why but when I googled "songs about animals" to get ideas all these song titles popped up and my mind combined them so this is a total mishmosh of Song Titles of Animals. I think I should say sorry now...
