I’ve always been a sucker for really well played funk bass...

Immensely talented. He makes it look so effortless.

 

That's the story of busking. Highs of attracting a crowd to "might as well be playing in the desert" lol That said it can teach you a lot about working a crowd as a performer. You go from being a musician to being a performer. Getting attention and keeping attention from an audience who arrive pretty well disinterested. They only have the sound of your music reaching them before they see you to get warmed up to the idea of staying to listen to you play. It also helps teach the importance of "right place, right time"!

Thanks, John!  Bass is one of my favorite instruments and I love funk, big time. He's got tons of talent and his smile is killer when he's playing.

and he seemed to attract at least one guy.......who knows what nuttiness might of been happening off-screen hahah!

yeah busy street full of shopping venues/restaurants.... while lots of people with cash fluttering about usually not the biggest "pay-out" bus stations/subways.......gotta catch them somewhere where they have to hear/look at you for a bit hahah, and the "poorer" crowd at those places realize you're probably not just there doing it for fun : D

 

and no time to put a big setup, you will be run-off eventually...........I mean it kind of defeats the purpose of busking if you have to pay a fee for your spot
