Hello from a mastering engineer/songwriter

I have been looking around the forum and decided to join. I write songs but my main area is engineering and mastering. I am looking forward to being part of the forum and apart from the questions I ask, I will try to offer advice wherever I can.

Hey masterman,

i have checked out the web site and listened to the before and After tracks - its good work. i was looking for a tiny little bit of advice - how do i get my tracks in condenced MP3 format? i am using Cubase Light (as its all i have at the moment) and im wondering if its this that is holding me back. my recording quality is not great despite the tracks being 17+ meg in some cases and they are saved as .WAV files.

Could you please advise me at to wht would be the best action? upgrade my software, tweak some seting etc
