Hi John,

Whish list: a very decent pair of Mikes for recording.

Not the for vocals, I'm very satistified with what I have.

I need to record guitars (acoustic and electric), piano, and possibly (that's why also I need a stereo pair) synths going though power amps/speakers, because I get some sounds this way I just cannot replicate with the line outs.

So I'm open to suggestion.

Additional parameters: I don't have a separate cabin (I record in the same room as I play) and I don't have phantom power on my boards, so I have to buy mikes with their own power supply, or a preamp, or a small board with phantom power.

Hi guyz!

Am I the only one happy with the set I got right now?

I have NO wish list.....

The stuff I use can be found at:

http://personal.inet.fi/koti/lrs/LRS%20Tut...s/My%20Gear.htm

welll, MOST of it , anyway...

I'm constantly updating my PC.... and as far as instruments go.... I just got a set of EVANS humbucking mikes for my Strat..... they have a crisp vintage sound without all the buzz and interference I used to get from the monitor with single-coil mikes....

Now..... shhhh NO noize!

These EVANS-mikes are just GREAT.... and they fit into the original holes with no modifications at all....

Well..... C-ya around later....

H.H.  ;)

Yep....These little BUGGERS really do fit with NO modification AT ALL to an original set of holes in the "plexi-glass" pick-guard (or whatever You call that damned silly thing holding the mikes, potentiometers and other electronic parts.....)  THE only thing You MAY have to use is some sandpaper if the fit is too tight for mic up/down-adjustment!

THE SECRET: the double-coils are on top of each other, not side by side like in a set of "traditional" humbuckers! AND.... they LOOK real neat too, because there's  no magnet heads of any kind, sticking out of the mike!

By GEORGE of The Jungle!!!

You really haven't seen an Evans Humbucker in all yer life, have You!

What a  Damn Good Show, Old Boy, Old Chap, Old Fruitbat, Old Sock!!!

(They USED to be pretty Xpensive and RARE..... but ....come on!)

Well..... There isn't much to look at really.... just a BLACK LUMP with TWO HOLES for SCREWS..... and that's it, BUT

THE SOUND:

Vintage Strat, enhanced.....with NO interference, more top and more clarity. I like 'em!

they're the BEST god-damned-mikes I ever had!!!

Actually.... IF I would have bought a NEW set straight from a dealer ... the three-piece-set of  mikes would have cost MORE than the  Squire-Strat, with CASE and all...!

UGH!

H.H.  8);D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ps.: Should I send You a pic?
