Hi guys

I am building a few electronica playlists covering:

  • Experimental
  • EDM
  • Trap
  • 80's
  • Alternative
  • Chill Out
  • Electro pop

Platforms:

  • YouTube
  • Spotify
  • Soundcloud

Playlist Opportunity

For consideration for a track, or tracks, to be included on a playlist: Please reply here with a link to your suggestions including the genre of playlist you think they belong to.

Feature/Interview Opportunity

If accepted for the Playlist Opportunity, I might want to Feature You across Songstuff platforms (Songstuff.com, Songstuff.co.uk, Songstuff Independent Music Stage social media, Songstuff Social media, our Community newsletter), and/or interview you (video, audio and text).

To do so I will be looking for:

  • A bio (500 words-ish)
  • 3 Photos
  • Artist + Release artwork
  • E-signed copyright permission relating to the above (I will send this to you)
  • E-signed work-for-hire agreement (video interview only, I will send this to you)

Please let me know when replying here if you would be interested in both opportunities.

Hey Steve

2-3 tracks at a time if that is ok? Sometimes I might be looking for something specific, or have a different limit, but if so I will say mention in the submission call. :)

I'm going to upload my most recent release from Bandcamp to Soundcloud in a day or two. Then I'll go through everything and pick three songs to submit.

awesome!

Hey John and all the musical people. have never been at the comunity playlist. I recently started on SoundCloud again. Its all categorized as Electronic, cause if i think about the genre - i would call it Electronical Effort To Hold On but that just doesnt sound like a genre. I have a few tracks on SC. I have not many successes and so.. Would be glad if i could get there.

hmm, i was not selected. i get it that my stuff is not fitting the Songstuff society too much better, than as a black sheepy thing that you need, like every place has its weirdo. :) And i could be proud about me, being different. Just working on getting self aware more.

not at all Richard. My bad. I’ve not been very well (not COVID!), so I still have to update the playlists.

Here are three possible candidates that are favorites of mine and not included in any current Songstuff playlist,. Should one or more suit your needs, I will be happy to provide any information you might need.

I am pretty honoured.

I think it is number 2 on the playlist, so it should get good exposure :)

  • Thanks 1

You have talent, why you choose SoundCloud and not use music sites for selling music?

Some people don’t want to sell their music. It’s not related to thinking their music isn’t good enough. I do playlists on YouTube, Spotify and Soundcloud to cater for musicians no matter if they want to earn from their music or not.

p.s. You can sell your music on Soundcloud

Hi John, would like to submit this chill-out beats ambient track "The Buddha in the Mirror", it's from the 1st album of my electronica/IDM project Equatorial.... a pastoral meditative track taking inspiration from artists like cluster&eno, can, david sylvian, & asian traditional musics -

Hi John.

My heart always sinks when "genre" is discussed.  The categories are far too confusing, and most overlap. I think there's only about 10, but the industry thinks there's between 50 and 1000.

So ... what do YOU mean by the 'electronica' you're looking for?
EDM?  Anything with synths?  Complete absence of acoustic instruments? etc.
