  8. The example of a timeline of release for a hit single layout details how motivation and determination played a key role in the success. "We learned that self-releasing artists are creating music way more frequently than ever before and they should." https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/music-creation-has-changed-fan-behavior-has-changed-and-therefore-artists-needs-for-digital-music-distribution-have-changed-too/
  9. Does doing your backup vocals help with your lead take? And then are you satisfied with the backup vocals?
  10. So you're singing with each take and then editing. How much editing is done choosing the best vocal track?
  11. "Music is a tough business that necessitates an unusual combination of talents and traits. Musicians often have to take on a lot of business-related work and must balance many other responsibilities." https://www.musicianwave.com/biggest-problems-with-the-music-industry/
  12. Such a well-written and informative article detailing what both established and new artists are up against in marketing their music. Worth a read. "Keeping a frequent presence on various social media platforms is becoming too much for many artists’ mental health, performance, and overall well-being. How did it get to this point?" https://www.hypebot.com/hypebot/2022/06/why-music-marketing-is-so-exhausting-these-days.html
  13. I hadn't seen this. I think your voice has a very nice deep tone. It complements your guitar and style. I surely like this song. It goes way back for me.. I don't remember where or when I learned it. Enjoyed your version.

  15. I love the song and she performs it so beautifully.
  16. Pixies will release new album ‘Doggerel’ on September 30. “This time around we have grown”, says guitarist Joey Santiago. “We no longer have under two-minute songs. We have little breaks, more conventional arrangements but still our twists in there”. Here’s the single: There’s A Moon On
  17. Have you tried getting your songs added to popular lists on Spotify? Were you successful? How did you do it? Have you used One Submit? Not endorsing, just curious. #spotify #playlist
  18. Vocal warm-up exercises are a great way to start your practice session or to prepare yourself before you sing. They can help you get ready to sing by loosening up your vocal cords and getting you in the right frame of mind. What warm-up exercises do you do before practicing or singing?
  19. "What is the right way to get on playlists, what kind of playlists are out there, the differences between them, and what kind of playlists can you get your song on?" https://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2022/06/03/one-submit-spotify-playlists/ #spotify #playlist
  20. Rick has a great YouTube channel, worth subscribing. 👍 Tons of musicians, demos and information. His new interview with session guitarist Tim Pierce is just what makes the channel so fun, and "educational". They get pretty deep on the gear Tim uses.. Tim has played with many great bands since the 80's .. worth checking him out, too. Enjoy!
  21. I haven't had problems with the board on my phone but Skype bumped me a couple times when on my phone around 1 and 2 pm cst. Thanks for noting this and will check. Peggy
