  1. Will lyricists and writing teams turn to AI to come up with ideas, or ... have AI generate the words and emotions, to complete their ideas.. or just do editing of the AI content? Will some genre formulas become mostly, if not all, AI generate lyrics?
  2. Showcase is used by some members for finished sings. It's not a critique board. https://forums.songstuff.com/forum/102-showcase/ Song critique board are those songs that are/have been works in progress where members are requesting some type of critique and review. https://forums.songstuff.com/forum/218-song-critique/ There's also the Covers and Remixes board, community playlists etc. You can access these areas from the Home page. 5. Welcome to Songstuff! Nice to have you join in with us.
  6. From creativity to time savings, legalities, ethics and on and on, there is so much news and discussion about AI and the music industry. I thought I'd ask a couple of questions to see what Songstuff member's thoughts were. - With new and emerging AI technologies, how do you imagine the use of these technologies for songwriters, musicians and other music creatives in their own works? - What do you see as benefits and concerns for the artistic value of musical compositions with the integration of AI in music?
  7. MisterB, Give it another try. I sent you a PM.
  8. The latest stats on people listening to music in 2023. Some of the stats were a surprise to me. I knew that country music was very popular but .... that percentage is alot of listeners!!! "Almost 50% of Americans said they listen to Country music." "According to a Deezer survey of US respondents, it was the 3rd most listened to genre at 49.9%, right after Rock at 56.8%, and Pop at 56.1%." Did any of of the stats surprise you? Being a musician: - How much time do you spend listening to music, including your own, in a week? - What are the sources of the music you listen to? https://headphonesaddict.com/listening-to-music-statistics/
  9. I had to get with John because file limit sizes aren't that small. I've got a couple things left to check that may be the causing the problem. Peggy
  10. @MisterB that seems like a small number. Going to check on it.
  11. Yes, you're right about the Covers board on Songstuff. It would be best to have access to a phone or computer that can be used to create accounts on Soundcloud etc. A controlled domain that has security requirements that prevent certain types of usage can't be the solution. Just guessing here, but vocaroo restrictions are probably covered in the security policy if usage is also on the controlled domain that's blocked soundcloud and disallowed YouTube uploads.
  12. Are you recording the covers you do? If so, how are you doing them?
  13. Hi Glitch, Welcome to Songstuff!
  14. Rick's analysis of the Top 10 is quite interesting. He touches on many points that are discussed or are in the undertones of discussions. One thing is.. whether it's a song or not a song ... similar components or not, these are on the Top 10 Spotify's Global list.. I think he tries to find something good to say about each of them..but it's a struggle for him and to the conclusion by saying "The Top 10 songs are sh*t". I think maybe he's changed the title since yesterday to "The Top 10 Songs are horrible." Do you think he makes his point?
  15. Welcome to Songstuff, Thomas.

    Hi

Hi kenyounL, Here is the link to the critique boards. https://forums.songstuff.com/forum/213-critique/ Here's the link to the Showcase board. https://forums.songstuff.com/forum/102-showcase/ Peggy
  17. Good luck, Reid! Thanks! Good topic. Just seeing it.. There are other Songstuff members, here in the states, that are doing Tiny Tunes. They could have been interested 🙄.
  18. A good general lesson, and one I learned too. Do your mix but use other ears (pro or pro-am) to do final mix. Get a selection and decide which one is final. Then again, have final mix mastered by another (pro/pro-am). Get a selection and decide which one is final master. Keeping involved by being provided with a selection of mixes/masters to make final decisions on. Mixing and Mastering using - Different Ears - Different Skills - Different Tools - Different Equipment
  19. Click drop down arrow in The Bar. Add comment in box where it has the Aa. Let me know if this isn't the issue.
