  1. I always think my own stuff is pretty good. If I didn't, I probably wouldn't try to make records out of it.

I love toast. I cook eggs soft, then put butter on the toast and cut them into "fingers", and dip them into the egg. Delicious. Your friend can go make his music on his island and you can make yours on your island ...
  3. Working with the end result in mind is always useful. Actually I was on one of those "bullshit seminars" (5 habits to success or something) where I picked out this point as being not such a bad idea. It might even have spurred me to my first album - maybe these bullshit seminars aren't that much bullshit after all? Haha! Just kidding! They are!
  4. I'd be happy to slam things in for you, if it's not too much. I haven't time right now, but I'm sure in the next 6 month there should be an opening for this. I usually charge for stuff like that, but for demo work for a fellow Songstuffer I'd be happy to contribute.
  5. I currently use a Digitech GNX 3, but can't wait to get my hands on the Roland VG99 - when I can afford it - some time in June.
  6. Bullet Me - The September When (Mother I've Been Kissed)
  7. I Surrender - Rainbow (Difficult to Cure)
  8. Angels at my Gate - Manfred Mann (Angel Station)
  9. Washing of the Water - Peter Gabriel (Us)
  10. Soldier of Fortune - Deep Purple (Stormbringer)
  11. Hey - look at that - they used to pop up, before -didn't they, John? ... anyway - I'll answer here: Thanks a lot - and just to get - one more of my long-term plans is to push my music out much harder. It is funny how you think it is all gonna work itself out when you start off - now I see how ridiculous I was to think that
  12. Right now i think the overall plan is something like "Establish myself as a progressive rock artist as well as a songwriter/studio musician/producer". The grand plan right now, is Testament - of course (the album previously known as Epiphany).
  13. The Rythm of the Heat - Peter Gabriel (3)
  14. My next album - a progressive rock concept album now renamed to Testament - is in the recording phase now. Currently I am working on assembling the classical parts and also preparing for the drum parts to be recorded. I am also planning how everything should flow together and working on melody and lyric details. It is really coming together well and I think the end result is gonna be pretty cool. I am also working on this website - actually splitting it up in a Finn Arild Music and then a Finn Arilds Serendipity (which is what I plan to be the "band name" for my music projects) site - as well as a small site just for the Testament album - since there is a lot of stuff to append to the album concept than what will fit into the CD artwork. 15. Shaking the Tree - Peter Gabriel & Youssou Ndour
  16. Broadway Melody of 1974 - Genesis (Lamb Lies Down on Broadway)
  17. Vocals are important - they carry the meaning of the song. That does not necessary mean they should be perfect - but they should be remarkable.
  18. The Chamber of 32 Doors - Genesis (Lamb Lies Down on Broadway) ... let's do numbers for a bit ...
  19. Staring at the Sun - Level 42 (Staring at the Sun)
  20. Afterglow - Genesis (Wind and Wuthering)
  21. All in a Mouse's Night - Genesis (Wind and Wuthering)
