Ok so just a maybe a month or two ago I bought a brand new dell computer online from the dell site. customized it to my needs, and so on. I then bought a E-MU1212 soundcard from zzounds. I installed the cards, then the software. I did as it told and restarted the computer to complete the instalation. First off, when I turned the computer back on. It gave me some "cannot locate floppy drive" error and I had to press F1 to start up. Ok first off I NEVER HAD A FLOPPY DRIVE INSTALLED, but when I installed the sound card it said it detected it?? but yet it also said it detected the PCI device. so whatever, the computer boots up and it wont even load everything, the instalation comes up and it gets so slow it actually FROZE. A brand new computer with good memory and processor, FROZE. So I pressed the power button, removed the sound card. turn the computer back on.. problem still there. Uninstalled the software...problem still there... went to device manager and uninstalled the non existant floppy drive, restart the computer, PROBLEM STILL THERE... do a system restore to the day before i installed the sound card, PROBLEM STILL F-ING THERE. Since I live in the middle of nowhere there really isnt any computer places around to take it. so ive decided to cut my losses and unless someone has had this problem and knows how to fix it, im selling this computer and getting a new one that wont start this BS with me.
