  3. Hey guys and gals! I'm happy to report that I recently got word of one of my hip hop tracks making it onto an ESPN program called Outside The Lines(USA). I can't confirm it on my ASCAP account yet but if it turns out to be true, this will be my very first cable TV placement! 🤞

  4. Busy, working with a YouTuber and adding music to short dance scenes. I kind of like doing this type of work, its different and fun!

      They liked most of my tracks so its looking good, but its gonna take a while before things are finally over. They're very busy so what can you do? It is what it is. 🤷‍♂️

  6. Currently working on a track for an independent artist. She specifically asked for a production similar to "Funny When" by Mickey Shiloh(lyrical content not suitable for children, btw). Its quite a challenge to say the least, since I've never produced anything in that sort of style, before. Funny how these unexpected challenges introduce us to a whole new world, broadening the borders of our creativity. So stressful, tho..lol

      Update: I'm still waiting for the artist to come up with the vocal idea before I further develop the entire production... But in the mean time, here's a short sample I put together - the vocal hook is a sample from Splice, I just added it for fun.

      Wow, excellent song, man. I remember listening to it a while back with just you and your guitar. When a song sounds great as a 1+1, you know it can only get better from there and "Come Find Me" is a good example of that. I'm sure all your songs will be great. Keep going, Mahesh.

  13. Creating a modern future bass track for a collaboration with a female vocalist. The verse, buildup and drop has been sketched out already, I hope I can complete the composition/arrangement by the end of tomorrow. This will be my first shot at writing with a vocalist so I'm pretty psyched about it! 🤘🙏

      My bad. I'm probably not using the correct terminology, here. I basically made rookie mistakes in my use of the aux channels and stacking features in Logic. Will take some time out to learn them properly.

      I was bouncing stems into separate instruments/sounds. i.e. Hi-hats&crash, kick, snare, bass, piano, risers&impacts(FX), percussion etc.

      But because my routing/bussing was so bad, I had to do everything from the beginning. Took me a few days to get it done right. I seriously need to spend some time with tutorials on how to bus and group things, properly. I totally missed those lessons..

  21. Working on some trap instrumentals(ala Purple Lamborghini and Burial). I'm not really familiar with the genre so it's a little tough..😣

      It was much harder than I thought but I managed to get the composition down.. *whew* 😓  I'll need a little break from it before I finalize the mix and master.

       

      Gonna give Future Bass a try, next.🤘

  22. @Sreyashi Mukherjee, to post a public update, go to account, profile, scroll down to the heading “activity”. There should be a box directly under it (which is what I’m typing in now) that says (memory bad) something about “public”.  

     

    If if you don’t have that box, then I’d check with the admin. It must be a glitch.
