  1. Heres the newest addition to my guitar family.'95 USA strat plus,
  2. Sounds like something waiting to break that would cost a fortune to fix,
  3. As much as i love my mid 80's carvin x100b halfstack, ive always wanted a brand new amp. Im considering a carvin V3 halfstack.I read everything i could find and havent found a bad review yet. Thinking about getting the head with the stainless front upgrade and upgrading the cab from the four regular g 12's to vintage 30's. Just wondering if anyone out there has had any experiences with this amp?
  4. Just remember you want to play on TOP of the strings !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other thing is finding the sweet sot where YOU are comfortable. We are all different and will play differently.
  5. i ageree with the above suggestions.I love to play fast but its worthless without accurassy and keeping time. As for suggestions PRACTICE and more practice. Just dont get burnt out or discouraged and the best advice is to start slow and work your way up after youve gotten what your trying to achieve down to where you dont even have to think about it,then pick up the pace a little and do it again. Best of luck !!!!!!!!
  6. heres a link to my guitar pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dmmhrcg/
  7. personally i cant really tell much difference.i have quite a few guitars with different scales and dont really see how anyone can feel the difference when your talking about 1 inch spread out from the nut to the bridge. that equals out to about .04 difference per inch, not tryin to be a smart a**

Hate to be on the other side of the fence,BUT,ive had great luck with Ernie's. Sound great and i never break them unless i just get totally stupid with the wammy bar goin backwards. I use either 9's or 10's depending on the guitar.
  9. My current setup is a morley wah into a univibe into a digitech 2112 with the 2120 chip into which ever amp im using, mainly my carvin x100b halfstack.
  10. I use the morley bad horsie 2. Advantages: true bypass optical operation[no scratchy pots] turns itself on as soon as the pedal is engaged. Disadvantages: spring loaded so you need to keep your foot on it if your trying to maintain a "sweet spot" Over all still love it !!!!!!!!
  11. Personally I keep all my guitars clean as possible.Inever put one to bed without giving it a good cleaning. I use the dunlop 65 maintanance kit. The cleaner/polish is awesome. It even took off deep fried turkey grease [which i spent a week trying to get off before i tried this]
  12. Tube all day for me,even though i rarely turn my amps loud enough to get the full advantaves of a tube amp. My main two amps are a mid 80's carvin x100b halfstack and a mesa 2x12 combo. I also use a digitech 2112 processor with the 2120 upgrade.
  13. I like most of you use a variety of picks [i never turn down free picks] , Guages depend on the sound im shooting for and the amount of attack ill be putting on the strings, but as for picks I buy,i use Claytons. They last forever!! Also on slick picks i crosshatch the picks with a knife to keep them from sliding around in my fingers,
