Wall Mounts For Guitars

I have so many guitars I use regularly now (Bass, Hamer, Hagstrøm, Classical, Acoustic) I would like to hang them on the wall instead of cluttering the floor with them. But how is it to hang guitars by the neck in the wall mounts, can they take harm from this at all?

Every guitar shop I've ever been in has guitars hanging up on the wall. As long as the hanger has a soft covering, I don't see that any harm would come to your guitars! Have a look here for some different type hangers.

Odd that I too am planning to do the same.

My experience is the same as Steves re: guitar shops (& fiddles too). Im sure they take no damage this way. Of course acoustics need environmental control.

Guitar Wall Hanger - Hercules AutoSwivel ? I have one of those and it is very good. Easy to install, and it keeps guitar "locked" in place, so if someone touch it, it doesn't fall down. Nice thing to have, if you have children's and their friend's running around too near of your expensive music gear

I have two of them, the auto-grab system. They are solid, and so far very reliable. The added bonus for me (and any other Gibson users) is the way in which the flippers are finished, they do no harm to your guitar's finish. They are finished in specially forulated foam rubber, designed not to harm. They have also been tested as lacquer safe, they really are the mutz nutz.
