How's it going everyone? I stumbled upon this site earlier today and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Ryan, I'm 22 year old, I live in Iowa, and I'm currently taking some time off from school to sort a few things out. Musically speaking; I started writing songs and poems around the age of 12. However, it wasn't until I went off to college that I picked up the guitar. I've been playing the guitar for a little over three years, it wasn't until this point that I considered myself a musician and began writing actual songs as opposed to lyrics.

I've been through a lot in my life, most of it at an early age too. Spent three months at an in-patient rehab center a few weeks after my 17th birthday, and have been struggling with drug abuse in one way or another ever since. Along with the problems with addiction came a whole slew of other problems; that all-in-all make for some great lyrics. I don't mean to glorify drugs by any means, but it's had the biggest effect on my life above anything else.

Anyway, sorry for such a long introduction, if you have any questions for me, don't be afraid to ask :)
