You Poetry Reviewers

You poetry reviewers sitting high on your opinions
Placing us on your literary skewers
Stuffing us like turkeys with synonyms and antonyms
forbidding all clichés
You roast our images and tear us apart
Then reject us by claiming your just not avant- garde
How can you really judge another one's art
When they have opened up their soul
To expose their heart
Your words are harsh and your critique vain
You write your sadistic views to bring others down
in pain
If we could have a glimpse inside your mind
We would all be shocked to see you're
literarily blind.

I got the satire lol you've taken part in waaaay too many critique topics for me to think you actually thought that lol I was acting all pained n stuff as the counter foil for your satire. :)

The good news is my acting skills are obviously now awesome lol :)

Oh and the correction was simply to b the kind of crit your poem was complaining about, hence the wink. (Although it is an accurate correction) I thought after a couple of months of lyrics challenges you'd have spotted my dry sense of humour a mile away lol

A lot of sites seem to be places for no-talent trolls to make inane and hurtful comments.  I had one person who claimed to be in the publishing business tell me that my writing was "too beautiful".  Well, beauty me up!  I'm trying to make real art, not casual entertainment for people who can't be bothered to engage their intelligence.

You can judge, but that which is presented as real artistic judgment is often (as implied above) a form of sublimated envy.  It is often the attempt of an empty soul to fill itself with the tears and blood of others, hoping that the resulting clotted slosh will pass as Inner Voice.   The internet is sordid.  You can find love there (I found a spouse) and you can find art there, but most often you find someone else's festering refuse.

But I haven't found that to be the case here.  This place seems pretty ok.  Not real active, but cool.
