Hello everyone. I'm Bea, a marketing writer from middle Tennessee. I grew up in the middle of the local bluegrass/country scene, having family members in the business and such...and weirdly enough, that sort of turned me against the whole thing. However, I've always had a poetic bent, though I kept my work close to my chest. Maybe it's a left brain/right brain thing, who knows? I do know I go into full-blown creator mode after days of writing product descriptions for retailers...it's like turning off the creative-creative process in favor of the structured-creative process tends to make things percolate. After those periods, pieces will arise fully formed and just flow out within a matter of minutes

 

Anyway, I've been in various lines of work from inspecting automotive bulbs at a factory to voice acting. I sing, I write lyrics, and when I was youger, I played organ and piano, though my skill level there sucks at the moment. I just wanted to introduce myself, and I look forward to sharing with all of you

Eh, I'm a creature of either extreme rationality and logic or extreme whimsy and absurdity. Combining those things often makes me feel like a Reese's Cup, lol.

What happens after structured repetitive tasks with no opportunity for creativity? Rather than increased flow I find prolonged periods of structured repeititive tasks can take me so while to kickstart a creative flow.

It's strange really. I say marketing writing is boring and repetitive, and it is in a sense, but in in another way, when you're writing original content, you have to stretch your creative muscles so it doesn't sound like the last piece you wrote. In a real sense, you DO have to be creative to stretch descriptions of boxes to 200 words, lol. It's just a different type of creativity that I normally describe with a word that would likely get me booped on the head here, hahaha.
