Free Verse Portable Walls

I entered a contest online for a free verse poem competition. This is what I turned in. I have just began writing free verse in the last couple years.

 

 

 

 

A colorless rainbow with a hidden sun, fills our proverbial sky.
The storm has passed, but the devastation is tragically epic.
Hearts and feelings are strewn along our road that once led to a future;
lying in heaps of sharp words, flung by the winds of anger and spite.
The tempest has annihilated the last stronghold in our lives;
we are destroyed, we are no more.
We have become two separate shards of a shattered glass house;
all we can do is cut now.
There will be no building of a new home,
just the erecting of walls;
walls that will find a new home to complicate

This is very well written.  You have painted the scene of devastation with strong feeling and emotion.

 

I can't imagine being in this situation and I'm very lucky not to have been so far..........
