Music Challenge #1 (Take 2)

Recommended Posts

Hi

Ok, a very simple music marketing challenge.

  • Take a track of yours on either Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Sceenshot the current song stats including plays, post the pic in reply to this topic.
  • Write a blog post that embeds the song on either of those platforms (if you don’t have a blog, start one for your band here on Songstuff!)
  • Share that blog post into your Facebook, Twitter and Google+
  • Do everyhing you can legitimately promote your song, blog post, and social media posts. Don’t break the rules or TOS of any site you promote on.
  • 7 days later, post a screenshot of your post likes, shares etc, your blog post likes, and your song plays.

Come back and explain your promotion, what you did how you did it!

Cheers

John

That is at least part of this... as you learn and try new things and try old things with a few tweaks, you should be able to see how your marketing approach will improve your results. It starts with getting some measures of where you are at the start :)

Can you post up a screen shot of your starting stats? It's so tjhat over a number of challenges you can see improvement, where strengths lie, and ultimately know what works for you and what doesn't

Hi Dakota, I replied to your blog post too. No need to use any embed code for YouTube for either a song or a playlist... just directly paste the link to the video or playlist, job done (assuming it is a public or unlisted video. It also works with SoundCloud and  a load of other web sites :)
