Having trouble uploading files here

Recommended Posts

When it gives me the option to "drag files here" or "choose files" here on the site, I get an error -200 message.  Anyone else have this problem, or know a fix?

Can you provide any more details? Such as file type, size etc? I will check the logs, though I suspect the server is timing out for some reason, which would be more likely with larger files

It was an mp3.  4.5 mbps,  it may be my internet was uploading too slow.

Hey John, it happens to me as well when I try to attach files in the PM system.

Normally the upload starts at normal speed, but by the end of the "bar" it starts to slow down, and never ends. Then it gives this error 200. The last file I remember it was .mp3 and baout 9.3 mb. I have uploaded before much heavier files (34mb) with no problem, from the same connection, so it has to be something that changed in the last 1 or 2 weeks.

I had also had a different type of related error. In this case it seems like the file ended to upload (according to the bar), but when it is done, a window pops up saying something like "we couldn't find the file you have uploaded". I don't remember exactly the message, but it's something like this.

My connection in Japan is quite fast. In the same range of 5 min I have uploaded .mp3 files to the site with error, and .wav files to the dropbox or the drive with no problems. So I'm afraid it has to be some sort of problem with an update of the site or server of Songstuff or something like that. Also, I should say, this never ever happened to me until the last 2 weeks or so.

Hope it helps.

It may be my internet as the speeds seem to be dropping off at random times.  I'll call my provider and ensure it isn't on my end.

I guess it's great to ask them! But as I said in our case, the connection is great and I'm having the same kind of errors...

I uploaded a couple of files yesterday and it went super fast and 0 issues.

Just saying :)

  • 4 weeks later...

The trouble was on my end with the router.  The provider has to swap it out, and now it works.

Thanks all!
