A preamp like was said. If moneys an issue there are several multieffects from Boss or Zoom or others that could give you more variety than just reverb. Jim

Like Rudi - not crazy about the tuning. As far as your set up - Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd) used to stick a nail under the strings at the first fret for Free Bird. I raised the action some on one of my teles. You did some interesting playing though. Thanks for the video. Jim

I've tried several types thinking the right one would magically make me sound better. I have found a company called Rocky Mountain Slides http://www.rockymountainslides.com/ . They are made of clay. Every time I've called I spoke to the owner Doc. Very friendly, helpfull, and very willing to discuss his favorite subject. You find the slide you want by your type of music and what kind of sound you are looking for. As for them sounding thin - Have you tried any open tunings? Jim

Try to learn all three. Pick, Fingers, and Hybrid. Theres also the thumb pick, which I just haven't found one I'm comfortable with yet. What you use depends on the song, and how you want to put it across. Jim

I always liked the Korg GA-30. I have 2 - 1 for home & 1 for work. They're cheap and I think pretty accurate.

This topic strand is great. There is alot to think about for many people on this site. I know I have some food for thought. Most of my songs do not have a bridge, or I will give it a musical bridge. Writing a bridge just seems to escape my writing process, but this strand has given me some food for thought. Thanks. Everyone have a nice holiday season. Jim
