  1. I suffer from the same affliction as S. Lots of good stuff here. Good thread. Thanks Jim
  2. Work blocked Soundcloud. Can't critique from work.

      From your mouth............

  3. This was a great line of post. I never seen the Jeff Beck interview. Just a guy that loves guitar. No ego involved at all. I seen him once here in Philly. He opened for Santana on the Supernatural tour. Great show all around. The only disappointment was they didn't do anything together.
  4. New tune after along hiatus - Broken Circle

  5. I give em his dues, Rudi. Not really my thing either though. Some guitarist seem more like they're masturbating instead of playing.
  6. Thank you for the post. I am primarily a guitarist and will definitely make use of this lesson.
  7. Rick Danko - The Band - pick.
  8. I thought I saw you when I watched that show. That's Great. your the man!
  9. Rudi - I feel the same way about signature models. Theres something about playing a replica of someone elses guitar that seems - wrong. I am a big Buddy Guy fan, but would not have the stones to stand on stage with a poka-dot guitar or a copy of SRVs #1. it is funny though, the Jimmie Vaughans model that Mike mentioned did catch my interest, but it does not have the look of a replica, just supposedly the same hardware.
  10. We always called that a Bo Diddly beat.- Who Do You Love is another.
  11. I say Radar Love or Wipe Out
  12. I usually play in Open G or D, a little Standard. I love the sound of slide and its a lot of fun trying, but its seems progress is at a snails pace, but the adventure is in the journey - right?
  13. It does have a little Doors feel. You got a good thing going. Its all very original, none of the songs remind me of anything else. Really liked the texuring of the guitars. Good luck. I checked out your other video too. You definitely have your own sound. Good luck.
  14. No time to be creative - thats life sometimes.

  15. So your kind of playing the modern day ------Theramin
  16. I only made it 54 seconds. 54 to long.
  17. I don't play one, but good for you and good luck.
  18. In your quest for tele -nirvana don't forget Danny Gatton and Johnny Highland or Roy Buchanan! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRnDMPbtUSM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FueG7IgPmAM&list=RDFueG7IgPmAM#t=0 Remember a teles does it all!
  19. I originally got a bass to add bass lines to my songs. I then found that bass is extremely challenging. Guitarist (I) seem to over play. I do not play out, I am 50, I pretty much play to stay sane. Family and work leave no time for a band practice or for the last year or so even recording. I am currently using two books/cds to learn a little. One is Bass Arobics by Jon Liebman and The Versatile Bassist by Dave Averthrow. Both have improved my bass playing immensely. I'm pretty much here for the same reasons as Randy. I plan to be a sponge and hopefully learn a little. Jim
  20. Do you hear that?
