    Hi

  3. Hey Folky, welcome aboard.
  4. Hi Patrick and welcome aboard. Wish I could get to blogspot but it's blocked for me Are you looking for new talent here, composers, lyricists? What styles/genres will nerd follow
  5. Hi Retta. Do you do all your own words and music or what?
  6. Hey Bob, welcome aboard. I think you'll find a lot of help etc here. Would like to know more on your home setup as I've no musical training and so get lost and befuddled with all my appz.
  7. Hi Mark, welcome to the board. Hope I get the chance to call on you for some drum beats help.
  8. As a moderator, I must insist that you refrain from advising people to partake in any illegal activities please. Now I've done that, you got any good sources?
  9. Good one Ryan. You've got me thinking as has Tom after reading his blog link. Off the top of my head (so not much deep thought gone into this), either try listening to the music you first liked (so back to the beginning) or try listening to some music you would never listen to (classical, jazz). No idea if it will work but if it does for you (or not), let us know.
  10. Hi Lance You've come to the right place. I'd love to read some of your poems but unfortunately blogspots are banned where I am (which really p***es me off lol).
  11. Hiya Dean I think you'll enjoy yourself here.
  12. Wow Sam, sounds like you live life to the max :)

When will we get a chance to read or hear any of your songs?

Don't forget to say a quick hi to everyone in the "Introduce yourself" section.

  13. provide comment on structure, the thematic flow, the emotions evoked and the lyrical dynamics.

  14. Hi Harry When you have the chance, you might like to add something to your "About Me". Enjoy the site.
  15. Hi Cynex, Welcome to Songstuff. Based on your request above, can I suggest you post something in the Song writing & collaboration part of the forum. I would also suggest you be a little more explicit in your request (not just "can someone write me a song"). Also, when you have time, please complete your profile and give us a hint of who you are through the "About Me", what your music tastes are etc. You'll find that the more you give, the more you'll get back Enjoy the forum.
  16. Hopefully I am in the right place. I've no musical background (so forgive my non-technical lingo used), I write lyrics. I get little if any chance to find that "quiet place" to write and I'd like at least to get a beat with some percussion to backup a lyric so that when I collaborate, there's a basic melody being sung with a beat. The beat also helps me measure the lyrics (and drowns out all the interference/background/surrounding noise too lol) I've loaded Izotope's iDrum, a nice piece of software. Can someone though advise me please on how to create the track. Do I simply need to create each section (intro beat, verse beat, bridge beat, chorus beat) through iDrum, record/save each and then somehow put the sections together? What program would I need to put and/or play the sections together please? The aim would be to record a rough melody singing into a mich with the finished drum sections through the pc speakers (if that makes sense). If anything above is unclear, please ask me to clarify.
  17. Hey Ronin, glad you found us. Any chance you could post a copy of your song elsewhere - utube is blocked for me !!!
  18. Hi there and welcome. Harrogate, one of my old stomping grounds for second hand vinyl. What's the live music scene like there these days? I hope you find the board useful and ask if you need help
