Hopefully I am in the right place.
I've no musical background (so forgive my non-technical lingo used), I write lyrics. I get little if any chance to find that "quiet place" to write and I'd like at least to get a beat with some percussion to backup a lyric so that when I collaborate, there's a basic melody being sung with a beat. The beat also helps me measure the lyrics (and drowns out all the interference/background/surrounding noise too lol)
I've loaded Izotope's iDrum, a nice piece of software. Can someone though advise me please on how to create the track. Do I simply need to create each section (intro beat, verse beat, bridge beat, chorus beat) through iDrum, record/save each and then somehow put the sections together?
What program would I need to put and/or play the sections together please?
The aim would be to record a rough melody singing into a mich with the finished drum sections through the pc speakers (if that makes sense).
If anything above is unclear, please ask me to clarify.
