  1. After reading the above, I'm not sure mine even classifies as a computer.
  2. Most do. If you are looking for the real thing like the ones you buy in a store, you will need to have a glass master made and then a high cost service make the rest. (Big BIG money) For most of us, replication is just that. Copies of your CD-R.
  3. Does this count? http://www.aurorahealthcare.org/services/b...richospital.asp
  4. Maybe the rest of the guys are wanted criminals and don't want to do promo packages!
  5. We , by that I mean my band and not my on-line presence ATom2, send out a small package but only do so by request. This includes: An overview CD of the band. I took a live recording and broke it down into 12-1minute samples of our music just to give the person an idea of the type of music they are likely to hear throughout our 4 hour show. I also include a voice over that states the recording was not done with quality of sound in mind, but rather a sampling of our play list. A band photo If this doesn't scare them away, we're in pretty good shape! A poster that they can write in any possible gig information and send back to us and we will create up to 15 posters specifically for our playing for them. A hand full of business cards with contact info That's about it! One more thing, I let them know of other gigs in their area in case they wish to see us live before hand.
  6. Hmmm, I'm surprized by this. Musicmatch was actually the free software that was listed on the old MP3.Com site for many years. It was pretty much the standard. I know I've used many different converters over the years and always found Musicmatch to be one of the best. One thing you need to be watchful for. I know some artists who have used other free converters and for some reason ( I'm not an expert) when they uploaded their mp3s to an OMD they weren't recognized and didn't work. Like I said, I'm not sure why but it does happen with some of these converters. Tom
  7. I can't personally vouch for this place but I've never heard anything bad about them either. The prices seam very good. What I don't know is if this is relevent to you folks overseas. They advertise through Musicians Friend, and I have always had good experiences with them............always. Here's the link: http://www.diskfaktory.com/mf/enter/home/d...sp?src=MFDF0000
  8. Hey Didier, I agree. Peavey is the choice of most live musicians that I know. One thing I will add to owning Peavey equipment. You can be pretty physically tough on their stuff and they keep on kicking. Most of our other equipment that isn't Peavey always are in need of some kind of repair, but the Peavey rarely goes bad.
  9. I've worked with Alesis equipment both on the road and in my studio. I have never had anything bad to say about them. Great value for the money.
  10. They need more outlets. Then maybe I would. Naw forget it, my wife wouldn't even get one.
  11. If only you would have left their wives alone!
  12. Thanks to you guys for contacting me. It appears my problem is only I.E. based. I switched to another browser and all is fine. Frigging I.E.
  13. I am in need of some help and want to PM someone who is very knowledgeable about PC's. Thanks, Tom
  14. Your answer was perfect John! Sorry I didn't reply right away but I fell asleep.
  15. The only thing I've been able to find is there is a royalty imposed on blank music CD-R's and not on Data. Hmmm. Oh well. I'll give it a try.
  16. Hi gang, I know I asked this question somewhere before and I certainly hope it wasn't here. Anyway, I've always wanted to know, what the heck is the difference between a "data cd-r" and a "music cd-r"? Several companies lable their cd bundles with one or the other. I see that the data are usually cheaper to purchase. What I don't understand is, they both just store digital information so why not just buy the cheaper data cd-rs and record music on those? As of yet I haven't done that, but is there any reason I shouldn't? Tom

    Question

Hey! That's kind of personal! Oh, you mean my music? Nevermind.
