  1. Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band - a commitment to the music, their fans and touring and the tightest band known to man
  2. I used to have a Boss ME-70 multi-effect unit and just couldn't dial in the right tones. I went back to stompboxes. I like to just keep the amp clean and use the stompboxes for the rest, when necessary. My chain is: Guitar (Fender Tele/G & L Tele/Am. Std Strat/PRS Semi-Hollow/Rick 620) - Cry Baby (Modded to true bypass) - Korg Pitchblack tuner - Vintage DOD Phaser 401 - Sweet Sound Mojo Vibe - Guyatone Auto Volume Swell - Rothman Love Squeeze Compressor - Ibanez TS 808 Re-issue - Timmy Overdrive (My favorite pedal bar none) - EP Booster - Fulltone Supa-Trem - MXR Micro-Flanger - TC Electronics Flashback Delay - Amp (Mesa Boogie Express 5:25/Egnater Rebel 30) ... 7. Hello, I am somewhat a novice at recording. I tend to record demos with simple guitar and vocal tracks. I use a Tascam 8 track recorder. I want to include drums on my demos, but have absolutely no experience with drum machines, nor do I play drums. Can someone recommend a decent, fairly inexpensive drum machine that is also easy to use. A brief explanation as to how to use these machines are greatly appreciated as well. For those of you that use these machines, do you record the other tracks first and then lay the drum track? Is it difficult to set the appropriate rhythm on the drum machine and how would fills or changes in the rhythm be accomplished? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  8. Actually I think my old school was "skunk" baxter not Larry Carlton.
  9. One of Todd Rundgrens more obscure tracks from an album called RA (which was actually a Utopia album) has an epic song called Singring and the Glass Guitar. It has one of my favorite solos. For long drives, I like nothing more than blasting Dicky Betts solo in Blue Sky, with the windows down. Carlos Santana's melodic soloing on Europa is also a fave and Knopflers playing on Sultans of Swing was groundbreaking. Ditto on David Gilmour's solo on Comfortably Numb. I am definately a huge fan of the more melodic soulful soloing. Don't ask me to choose a favorite though I can't. Oh, I forgot Larry Carlton's solo in Steely Dan's My Old School and his own Room 335. Amazing stuff.
