Hello, I'm A Cellist

Hi!

 

I'm Mary.  I'm a cellist from Ohio. Here is a short bio from my facebook page. 

 

Mary Brandal is a 23 year old cellist from Columbus, Ohio, who is working on her Bachelor's degree in Music, cello performance, from Ohio University. She switched to cello from violin at the age of ten, fell in love with it, and has been playing ever since. 

Mary has played with the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra, and has been a guest artist with the Calliope Women's Choir. She also plays at art shows, weddings, coffee shops, and other events all over Ohio. Her repertoire is diverse and often includes old and new popular songs for performances at restaurants (she is a frequent featured artist at Hae-Paul's in Columbus, Ohio), and she especially enjoys playing what she calls "cello karaoke".

Hi Mary,

 

Great to have a classical presence around here. Cello is my favourite string. When I go to see the Havant Orchestras I make a point of booking seats right of center adjacent to cellos.

 

I am also from Portsmouth (the old one, with the Victory, Mary Rose & Warrior at the docks museum).
