  1. I really really really like this one!! Good job on that. And if it's a Bones song or not... I know 3 songs of them so I can't judge about that. But Madonna changes her style every 5 minutes so why can't the Bones This tells a story that you will remember, and that's the point of writing (in my opinion)
  2. I know that song 'Roxanne' from the movie Moulin Rouge. It gives me goosbumbs everytime!! You really need to check it out
  3. I like this version better than the first one. It reads better for me... It has a certain flow that the first one didn't have. If that makes any sense to you
  4. It looks like a simple lyric but it's a damn good one! (in my opinion) It really sticks into your head (yes I have a melody inside my head with this one)
  5. I've changed my mind and went with Drippin' love. I took the car, destination unknown Followed the road far away from home Stopped by a little diner place There she stood in all her grace She came up and asked me Would you like some coffee or tea Long blond hair, a little bit shy I replied, what about your pie Oh, oh, oh Drippin' love all over the place On the counter, the table Running the third base Oh, oh, oh Drippin' love all over the place She screamed so loud They must have heard it in space She got me going all night long Giving it to her hard and strong When the sun came up in the sky, time to hit the road, no goodbye Oh, oh, oh Drippin' love all over the place On the counter, the table Running the third base Oh, oh, oh Drippin' love all over the place She screamed so loud They must have heard it in space
  6. Okay thanks!! It makes sense to me now Feeling stupid!
  7. Can someone explain me what 'Drippin love' means... translated to my language it doesn't make sense
  8. I've contacted rdean101 and he is willing to help me out So a big big big thank you Les!!! You really helped me out!
  9. I'm going with 'keep it up all night' See where it leads me
  10. I didn't knew there was a facebook page, so thanks for poiting that out! I'm going to check it out
  11. Really needing help yes, thanks Rudi! I've found a girl with an amazing voice but nobody who wants to put some music on it It's really, really frustrating. I actually can't sleep about it... I really want this to be done good and fast, 'cause time's tiking.
  12. Hi to all who reads this As part of a weekly challenge, this one: http://forums.songst...he-hook-almost/ Me & Mperry have wrote a lyric. Now we need someone to put music on it and someone who will sing it. I can try to sing it myself, but I'm not a proffesional So if anyone feels like helping us out, feel free to send me or MPerry a message! It needs to be done within 3 weeks (no pressure!) I will be forever thankfull!! It also will be the first lyric I wrote on that will be put on music. This is our lyric: Walk Away by Vagdavercustis & MPerry Like a spring snow, passed over our heads, burying us deep within whose depths, it was hard to see, without the knowing those feelings we had in mind precious but hard to keep So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take one step back, to make a flame grow So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take on step further, making two hearts flow As we consider it all, making it better, fix it before it breaks so that we can go forward and move beyond our love stalemate how could we even think or walk away, taking from the extreme From the waiting as we figure it out, fight or flee, this happenstance be it a mistake, a misunderstanding, or else just given chance it never crossed our minds, to forsake this love, and face the consequence So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take one step back, to make a flame grow So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take on step further, making two hearts flow We fought our way back, trying to survive, against the tide like a sea storm swelling, the ebb and flow, taking the ride searching the moon and stars, struggling till we got it all right Our wanting to figure it out, fight or flee, becoming this happenstance be it a mistake, a misunderstanding, or else the consequence it never crossed our minds, to forsake this love, finally given chance So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take one step back, to make a flame grow So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take on step further, making two hearts flow So we will look deep into our eyes and find that place where we will not sacrifice our love on this or any other night, meaning all that much more, choice is clear no we, will not walk away, walk away
  13. You've all done so well on the challenge! I hope I've done this right. Walk Away by Vagdavercustis & MPerry Like a spring snow, passed over our heads, burying us deep within whose depths, it was hard to see, without the knowing those feelings we had in mind precious but hard to keep So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take one step back, to make a flame grow So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take on step further, making two hearts flow As we consider it all, making it better, fix it before it breaks so that we can go forward and move beyond our love stalemate how could we even think or walk away, taking from the extreme From the waiting as we figure it out, fight or flee, this happenstance be it a mistake, a misunderstanding, or else just given chance it never crossed our minds, to forsake this love, and face the consequence So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take one step back, to make a flame grow So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take on step further, making two hearts flow We fought our way back, trying to survive, against the tide like a sea storm swelling, the ebb and flow, taking the ride searching the moon and stars, struggling till we got it all right Our wanting to figure it out, fight or flee, becoming this happenstance be it a mistake, a misunderstanding, or else the consequence it never crossed our minds, to forsake this love, finally given chance So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take one step back, to make a flame grow So should I, would she, just walk away this time Take on step further, making two hearts flow So we will look deep into our eyes and find that place where we will not sacrifice our love on this or any other night, meaning all that much more, choice is clear no we, will not walk away, walk away
  14. I'm just back from vacation and I can allready begin to work... It's a lot for me to process. But I'm going to accept the challenge and see where I end up
  15. From me also a congrats to my fellow team members for this task! And ofcourse Rudi for asking me to be a part of it I really had a fun time doing this. And winning was never in my mind, but *whoop whoop* we did it! *happy dance* But the others did a verry good job as wel! We're all winners?!
  16. Good write Lisa!! Love your tittle It sticks in your mind
  17. Skin, Nice write! I love the line, 'The Peter Pans of our oceans.' But that's because I'm still addicted to Disney movies The ending is just sad!!!
  18. Thanks for pointing it out. I've corrected the mistakes! I'm glad you liked it
  19. Kel, I know it's somewhat out of place. But it just came out and couldn't think of anything else at that moment. I'm just happy that I got the ballad structure right this time And it's true in the end we're all screwed!! Really enjoyed your lyric It reads like a train! Rudi, My first version didn't fit the ballad structure. Allthough I'm glad you liked it Starting over was the best option for me I guess. About your lyric... Like Kel said, there's an 'is' missing. But I like your refrain line. A verry good write! Goldy, It's simple but strong! It gives a clear message Thumbs up for you!
  20. I hope this one meets the task. *fingers crossed* It was a 15 minute ride Everyday the same She always stood outside When her little girl came Riding her pink bike A little helmet on But today she felt like There was something wrong It was a 15 minute ride Minutes passed by She kept waiting outside Started wondering why Her little girl Didn't arrive Than the police car Came up the drive It was a 15 minute ride It just couldn't be true Her little girl died A quarter past two The car ignored A red light It was a black ford Landed on the side It was a 15 minute ride The clock keeps ticking Everyone witnessed the sight Of a mothers heart breaking No words can explain The loss of a child The great pain It leaves behind And it carries on The rest of her live
  21. It's thanks to you I'm here It's a great oppurtunity to learn some new skills!
  22. I knew I had done something wrong. I've been reading the article about the AAA-structure. Allready have another idea in my head so I'll will work it out after work. Thanks for your comment. It's all in the learning proces!
  23. Thanks for the warm welcome! Had a real laugh with Kell's comment allready!! I can take the torture of my boyfriend so bring it on For the challenge I chose this article: http://www.gva.be/nieuws/binnenland/aid1446232/2-100-kinderen-betrokken-bij-ongeval-in-2012.aspx The tittle says: 1.200 children involved with an accident in 2012. It's about children who have been in a traffic accident. Some have little injuries but some of them didn't survive. 15 minute ride With her new pink bike Ready for the first day of school She knows her way, it's like Not far from the swimming pool Just a 15 minute ride She could do it with eyes closed Not aware of the danger outside She began her way on the side With his brand new car Ready for the first test ride Didn't plan to go to far His morning began on the bright side Just a 15 minute ride Than he would go back home Back to his lovely wife And together depart for Rome It was like a flash Time stood still An enormous crash Blood started to spill Innocent laughter Turned into a deafening scream With his brand new car His foot on the gas Testing the speed limit so far Lost control, blood on the glass With her new pink bike Felt the pain inside like a knife When the ambulance arrived She allready lost the fight of life
  24. Maybe this is a really stupid question... But my local news is in Dutch. So must I pick a story from an English news site than?
  25. My favourite singer at the time is Ed Sheeran. For the last 3 months I'm driving my boyfriend crazy with putting his music on ever day. 'Cause normally it's only metal that fills my house Why? He achieved so many allready at such young age. He has a wonderfull voice, such amazing lyrics and plays gituar. He has been my inspiration to start following my dreams. So I just started writing, posted some stuff up here and bought myself a guitar. If he can make his dreams come true, maybe I can to Never getting tired of his music because he can do different styles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8cADX87-2I
