  4. Thanks! Those are some good thing to add in describing what influences a Listener . 1. Moods - The purpose (to lift or lower mood, to enthuse, to humor, to add drama, to calm, to arouse, to get excited etc.) 2. Seasons and special days (holidays, weddings etc.) - To remember (a person, a place, a time etc.) - To evocate emotional response to environmental influences (time of year, weather, common celebration periods, etc.) 3. Daily Activities (working out, relaxing, wake up and sleeping, studying, driving etc.) - To regulate (tempo, such as marches, for exercise repetitions)
  5. What do you think influences listener's decision when choosing the music they listen to? And .. the music they purchase!!! I'm always interested in how artists maneuver through the music industry with their releases. A few factors I can think of are: - Moods - Seasons and special days (holidays, weddings etc.) - Daily Activities (working out, relaxing, studying, driving etc.) - Pop Culture - Genre - Visual - Age - Fan Can you think of others? What listener influences do you consider when releasing your music? What methods do you use to reach listeners and those that are new to your music?

  7. As with me, I'm sure many of you have been reading and talking about Superfans in the Music Industry for awhile now. So you already know that the music industry is currently obsessed with the Superfan. It's not a new concept, there have been superfans for as long as I can remember, but with the modern ways of marketing your music, the industry seems to be saying that building Superfans should be a priority for artists. An understanding, of why Superfans are a priority, is necessary when developing your engagement plans. Superfans are your enthusiastic advocate! They connect your experiences to their experiences through social signaling. They are loyal and stick around and they amplify the reach of your music through their community participation. They buy your music and your merchandise and they share with others this expression of identity. I think it would be interesting to hear what you think about the idea of identifying, connecting, building and maintaining Superfans of your music. Have you thought about making Superfans one of your priorities? Do you have a good idea about what to do... what, how and where to engage? Have you already had successes? How much time a week do you devote to building a fanbase and Superfans? Any Feedback and insights?
