think if a song brings forth an emotion to a heightened level , in any form it has done it's job , me verses build to the climax , the chorus ,

very very rare !! but put a little diddy together with music and then .... you are on the road !!

sounds like guide lines to what you are seeking from others , other then praise which seems is all that some want . but must agree and I am guilty myself , of not giving some lyrics my full attention !! also agree with what was said about the rhyming schemes . song story and rhyme, structure and music all play a part of the of the song as a whole . but feel if you can learn the different structures and look at others work and critique others work , you will grow and learn as a whole, which we should all want as people in this trade , or passion .

john , well put and thought out , as your music!!, a lot of people here in the lyrics part of the site have issue's with the rhyming and structure , which I still do at times , but due to this site and the input giving to me by members , has improved in leaps and bounds, !! the structure of a lyrics AAAA,AABA what ever , the message needs to come thru and not seemed forced , guess what I am saying , need to learn the basics and grow from there !!!

forced and not getting the story out there is the issue, !! most of the greatest songs out there are rhyme based as you said a true classic, "yesterday !!! also use that to show others an AAA structure , but I also don't say much on how much a lyric rhymes, more on how it is forced , and also agree until it is put to music and heard , you never know !! but a great subject !! rock on !!!!!!

john , yes ,yes ,yes , did I say yes ? people are always asking for more info , how ,where , when , what ? and the thing is , none of it is really simple , I have some people in radio , which for me (us) it helps a lot , getting to know free gigs and stuff before they hit the radio live , but for the most part , people run around blind with visions and dreams that never get any where, no direction ! Some dont even know the simple tatics of guerilla promotion activities. Not to mention just building a good fan base . I am by no means well groomed in these matters and I too would like to learn more and grow , so yes , yes yes , to internet marketing , as I am in internet marketing already , with my biz(selling products), so feel I may be a few steps ahead already . , BRAVO !!

think it is about you! what you are doing at the time , yea we all can say one thing or another , but bottom line , does the song make you happy, don't get me wrong . but I didn't know there was a right or wrong way to music , yea you got elements , that make a good song , structure and such , but genre , go for it , the stones, beatles , bowie , almost all go out of thier norm at some point(and on the same album) , that's what makes em. really , would you want to hear the same thing over and over , spread your wings , take the chance and follow your gut !! most of the time it will always guide you where you need to go . I am sure you have your own style and sound , but like been said above me , sounds ,feelings, sight , will bring new music to you , and why not , we all like genre's of all sorts , yea we tend to stay in our comfort zone ,but tunes from all sorts of genres at times makes our ears perk up or our foot tap, for a cd , album ,lol, most will stay in thier comfort zone , but also have a song or two that is out of the box for them , and at times it is that song that makes them !! we all want our songs to go places and do things , but if we do not emerge as the talent we are , then how do we grow to reach even more who , like us , like what we are doing and dig the sounds we are making , rock on !!
