aahh tom ,hit it on the head !! tho I picked up a friends guitar and it sounded good at ripe ol age of 6 and went from there by 8 , I knew that the girls loved it and I was sold !!! and the 60-70's was a great time to learn and play !!!

so 400$ !!!1 lmao really ? damn I got some I should try to find cheaper, and have one like that I paid $2,800 for , without a case , 3,100 with so right on mark with costs , damn , maybe I should get into guitar sales ??hhmm but the issue here is same ol song , copyrights and such , being in music it kills me when I see illegal download sites and it comes out of the artists pockets, here well it is coming out of a large company but stealing is stealing, in NYC they just had a squad hit all the knock offs selling on every street corner , for the same reasons, I get torn on this issue , but in no way will it be stopped , so do you join in or keep paying for the RIGHT name and quality ?? rock on

what was the cost so have to change the pickups and sounds like it has chatter on the frets also, not a bad looking guitar but for me, it's like downloading illegally , it takes away from the real people who make the real ones !! big issue with me !!! thanks for sharing rock on !!!

Good topic. For me I'm like stova.I tend to take a look at some notes I put down for other stuff.but mostly I keep playing it in my head. Funny thing is. At times my second will be better and change the whole song. I most times get a melody in my head and run with it.I write on emotion. Lyrics is where I suck so the whole process is at times a pain for me. Good subject tho

Holy crap batman! A lot of talk about what? To me it comes down to the love of music! Like making love We all do it ( I would hope ) yea We all have our own styles and thoughts of HOW it should be done. Bottom line We make love cause it feels good , for the pure joy! I never learned to read music till not long ago , does it limit you , would be a fool to say it don't. But also seen the fool that knows every twist and turn of this and fall flat on his face on the stage! As with any trade or craft the more you know the more your worth, bottom line, I never gave a crap about it, I could hear something and play it, gifted or curse? Both. So as far as I can see know theory help a brother or sister out in laymans terms from the love of what you proclaim to know, cause We are ALL here for the same thing! The love of music, no? But if you must ,look around new and used even Some of the online places have Some great deals.and most have pro's going through their stuff to ensure quality.But I agree hold it play it get it's feel hear it's tone. Looked at 10-15 Martins before I got mine, because I felt it,s tone inside . Good luck ,hope all this info helps you on this road to finding your next great part of your. Music! Rock on!

play with an old martin , for me it is beyond words, but also have others I like and play , for me it is the sound I am looking for , guess why some travel with 6-10 or more me , i'm simple take 2-3 and roll out , can always pick new ones up when the feeling strikes, but truth is , you become attached and them pieces of wood become friends , so hard question, if asked I would say what ever fits your style and budget , but try many , the one that is meant to be will fall I to them hands rock on !!

would love to sell my stuff, but right now just trying to get some to a point where they are ready to pitch , have no intrest in touring , rather sell them let other artists that tour do that , and me just keep writing music, lol a dream??? -
for me , the song / lyrics , comes to build it's self , and takes on the form as it is writing , like hobo , it starts with a word ,phrase whatever , a melody pops in my head and let the pen do what it does best , write , not think , and what it is , it is, bit that's just me , I write in pure emotion , as I am inspired and let that take me where it wants to go , know many writers ,put down their thoughts think of a "format" and then start to write , but really it is what ever works for the writer
