  1. agree with joe ' smart move to add other writers to AVOID lawsuits. but funny thing is a lot of bands go though stuff like this , on who wrote what and such . Again a side of music i dont like !! most times that i did work with others ,i had no interest in any rights to what we did , call it dumb or naive but i was having fun and if it went further then i could of imagined , well cool . it would be a self pride thing . again it goes back to money , and starving to get it in a trade that you love to hate . I have people tell me all the time i should DO more with my music , feel i have done what i wanted , been on tour buses played for thousands , rubbed shoulders with others that "made" it , but it all comes with a cost that i just dont want to pay , guess as i said in another post , I'm just plain lazy and love music for what i get out of it in my own way rock on !!
  2. I will play !! As far as suggestions , maybe have a few ,lets not call them winners, lets face it we are all winners , but have another group or site or something ,anyway have a few picked. Best get a full 5-7 band sound recorded to lyrics, something like that, Rock on
  3. Cool subject, done a few in my time, with other musicians its a balance or a meeting of the minds, the process most times is a very cool thing most times, I'm very limited on the whole mixing and equipment thing,so that part is great when colabing with others If it's lyricist only the i just strum out What comes to mind, have a wee bit of trouble if they dictate the sound ,theyare looking for , either way its a pretty cool process,i do like putting a melody to a lyric,my talent is very limited but its a fun process Rock on
  4. it is a talent most of us touch but never fully grab ,but like the lottery "gotta play to win ""!!
  5. had to chime in , to tempting many people make good money "songwritting" most are unknown , but know for a fact a lot of them are listed in many many country songs . and also know most have a big house outside nashville, also know most are like us , they love to play , invent and write , some call it lucky while some say they worked hard for it , either way , they make good money at it !! I really dont think anyone would complain if one of your songs went commercial and millions heard it , the pure fact that you did something millions of people enjoy to listen to , and then get a nice check for it , double bonus in my opinion. dont think anyone sets out to be commercialized , as much as it is a path that opens for them .from their talents and love of playing . not to say i wouldnt cringe if my kid came to me and said she wanted to be a musician and make a "living " from it . of course i would embrace but would do so shaking my head ! rock on
  6. heard of it , but first time (here) hearing it , !1 yea would like to add this to my humble collection !! rock on !!
  7. just to let you know , you can only post your lyric to one board , cool ??
  8. losing myself in thought, losing myself in nothing at all !!!

  9. instead of looking out and seeing them naked , just get up a do it naked, every show after that is a breeze !! rock on !!
  10. yea , I learned that a few years back , go figure rock on !!
  11. that is up to you in how much you want to pay and such , being you are not that good , I would opt for a decent used one and then see if you like it then upgrade or if you don't like it , you didn't waste that much cash on it , but you can get a good used for 300-500 depending on what you are looking for , for a few hundred more a real nice martin or something , either way for me it is a win win for you !! rock on !!
  12. hey worth a shot !! some people are not that bright !!! sent the pics to some people and they will let me know if it is worth the effort to bring them in off the pics , the wood is right that I found out , and as john said the patina (wear ) that is what has a few stumped, the red one is the one people are looking at which to me looks like a school thing, but there is questions about a red one that he done and no one has seen it , in a hundred years or so ,
  13. look , go get a an inexpensive guitar at a pawn shop or somewhere, you can always upgrade later if you like it , go to youtube , there are many guys there that have lessons on line , I know one or two , learn a song or two , see if it is for you if it is then go further with it ,but a good place to start , in a day or two your playing a real song , not the best way to learn but it gets your feet wet , and your not learning scales and such , you learn the strings and simple cords , if you don't like it ,your out the cost of the guitar , which you can always pawn or hang it on your wall, the guys online are pretty good but it is a place to start , if you really like it , go get those lessons and learn the craft rock on
  14. my 10 $ guitar , lol found this today at an antique shop , no name or markings but does have a fine tone to it , figure it is a kit guitar or something
  15. a life long dilemma , suck it up as a learning exp. and know next time you need to do another method, sad but true, but we all been there , it don't matter if we are all musicians or not , the world is full of assholes and that's life , protect yourself the best you can , always send a clip , of your work , Never all of it , but life is one long collage course, you are always learning , !! rock on
  16. well hell , count me in , told Michael I would come see him where ever , so off to the club we go !! lol, really though that insight on the song and vid was right short of brilliant , least for me it was ,anyway, like whats going on !! rock on !!

  18. yea damn david , your in the wrong biz !!! some great , I mean great input to this !! think this is good , but hell when you read davids input , your like hhhmmm , and start thinking in that direction , damn good input , ,did I mention that all ready ??
  19. I get this a lot here, people wanting to get going on home studio , get their feet wet so to speak ,.And the truth is , I am not in tune to all of it !! Tell them to reach out to other members and still they come back to me. I think that it is overwhelming , between everything you see ( ad's) and hear and the net , That it is like what the **** !! And I have not been into it as a home thing long enough to give good feed back , on things I have tried and failed or succeeded in . So here it is again , what is the best road to travel to get the best basic equipment for a nubbie in this area ? and that is under a grand , where you don't have to practice rocket science on the side .
  20. yea but like with life , in music you still have to build the relationships, to really impress me , it's about building ,relationships in any part of life , then you get people to listen or what ever to the "me"
  21. oh yea , never thought of that !!! hhmm ,
  22. yo tapper, I had one like that , was stolen a year ago ,little over, and funny love some of the toys, but had her for over 30 years, she seen the world with me , think she slept with more girls then I did even !!lol, funny how we get , I mean even my dog couldn't come that close to that !!in fact I asked my mum if she had pics, I have a few but she bought it for me , .she is checking , good stuff!!
