1. Do you sing, play an instrument or instruments? Yeah, kind of.

- What instruments? I've played acoustic guitar before but I'm not really good at it and I didn't keep practicing. But, I'm soon getting drums!

- When did you start playing? I started playing guitar when I was in middle school. Now, I will start playing drums this summer.

- Did you teach yourself? I did kind of have guitar lessons on music class but my teacher only asked to choose a song and then learn it by yourself. So, basically, yeah. Then, for learning drums, I will use internet sources.

- What is the name of the band? I prefer not to mention my name idea, just in case.

I'm an intermediate piano / keyboard player with some formal training during my teenage years, followed by some self-tuition and practice.

My band is really just a musical pseudonym: China Border.

I'm a keen song-writer with more than 200 songs in some significant state of completion...

... but I'm lazy with actually recording / producing my works, perhaps due to an unfortunate combination of perfectionism and a lack of natural skill for production! Also, I don't sing or know anyone who wishes to lend a voice to my songs, so I'm experimenting painstakingly with a vocal synthesiser.

I'm an utter amateur.

In some ways - in fact, I'm a computer science graduate and former professional - but I'm not keen on smart-phones and am increasingly acquiring vintage synthesiser reproductions.

The computer driven recording equipment is by Focusrite.

Continued to write and perform part time for the next 40 years. My wife passed away in 2020 and I hit 65 so I retired and devoted myself to MUSIC 24/7. hope to sell my music and myself to the world.

9. Do you draw/paint/write stories/computer art/dance or other creative pursuit? No but my identical twin sons are wonderful musicians as well as artists. They are big on Godzilla, cartoons, etc. I've considered writing a book about growing up & living on the North Carolina coast near Myrtle Beach in the 1960s-1970s. Maybe I will.

I play bass guitar, piano and synths. I sarted playing bass guitar when I was 10 years old and piano just the last year. I'm studying Popular Music with Bass as principal instrument

I used to sing when I was little. My voice isn't what it used to be, though.

i am a self-taught keyboard player. i do some singing...mostly back-up harmonies...I was a member of a pop band called Deja Vu...i write music and lyrics and record at home although I have used another studio by times...i have no website but have some stuff up on Soundcloud...I am in Nova Scotia, Canada...i just wish to go on writing / recording tunes and posting cover songs on Facebook on Fridays.

Yes and no - I learned the violin for a few years when I was 10-12, and that taught me the basics on which I then taught myself.

I have been, but am not interested in being in bands anymore.

I do - I write on my own - I start with a title or idea; the tune tends to come from the rhythm and feel of the words

I record demos just to self-critique. I think recording music has become too easy though - much of what's recorded needn't be.

I want to find people to collaborate with. The most important thing is to have fun. Therefore, social compatibility is more important than skills.

Another thing is that I want to put out the music I make, most of all to be able to mark a project as "done". If I don't release a piece of music, it feels like a failure sometimes.

I used to draw and paint, but I don't have other interests at the moment. I make my own artwork on the computer, though.

Do you use a home studio? If so what gear do you use? I used to use sonar, then logic, but now I just use garageband, keepin' it simple. I have like 5 different mics connected through an iRig usb interface.
