My name is Toney Wright ,(Cove55 on this site) and I'm a songwriter from Owens Cross Roads Alabama. I've played bass in numerous bands over the years and have been writing poems and such since I was a kid and started writing songs in around 1975. I was in my first band in 1975. We played country/rock and southern rock mostly and also some originals most of which I wrote or co-wrote. My writing style has changed over the years. but. I've always liked to keep it simple with the lyrics standing out most of all. I haven't played in a band in a long time. most of the bands I played in only  did cover songs which is ok but, I got tired of that and just retreated to writing. I've played a few different instruments over the years Guitar, Bass some flute, dulicimer and auto harp. Now I have rheumatoid arthritis and have had for a long time. My hands have become crippled over the years and my fingers don't bend much anymore so I don't play and can't play much anymore. but, thanks to all the great music making software that's available I can still compose my songs with music. I hooked up with a great guitar Player online from Warrington, England. After I compose and mix my songs I send them to him and he puts a lead track to them. anyway I'm glad to be here and look forward to participating and sharing ideas with y'all....Toney

Thanks very much Lisa.Yea, the arthritis has got so bad I can't do much at all with my hands anymore. even turning a doorknob is a challenge. I have started playing the harmonica some and plan on getting a pan flute soon. I can play those without using my hands much, I've got a chord attachments for my guitar that I can play four chords with. that isn't much and they wear out quick but, it's better that nothing. I listened to "sing Songs Of The Seasons" on soundcloud.love it!! you've got a great voice!.....Toney

I think you should find some good collaborations here to help you put it all together. Since you know music etc, that must help with all the great PC software you can compose on. Get critiquing and make some new friends
