Hello guys,

 

This is some lyrics that I've written. I do know that I'm not that great with playing my words as most rappers do, but I do hope to improve, so maybe you guys can help me?

 

So here it goes:

 

"I'm standing on my feet, buried my head in between

In between the realms of reality and dreams

I'm staring at both sides of the road

In between the fork where I dont belong

 

My feet is pointing down south towards the light

But the pressures of society and responsibility are obscuring my sight

I couldn't find my way back to the place where I was born

The only place where I feel like I'm at home

 

Hiphop was and is my shelter from the blazing storm

Found him when my soul was near lost to gone

He kept me on my feet, he kept me on the ground

He gave me security and warmth, been there for me when I needed the voices of sounds

 

But the cruelty of society tried to take him from me

They robbed me of my one and only peace within

I pulled pushed clawed grabbed, he's still here

I'll never put up the white flag, do you hear!?

 

He's the guardian of my soul which I've never sold

I've sworn that I will never ever cross to the other side

Where the underlying rules and norms of society has taken over humanity,

what used to be our pride

 

I refuse to let the rotten society corrupt me and my soul

The rhythm of my body is my armour and sword

The wise words of the melody is the protector of hope

My heart will fend off all you haters that are caught"
