Neither is it about depriving anyone of their pension.
It is about some people wanting a bigger bite.
Do they deserve it ?
Why and how ?
Who pays ?
I think it's unfortunate that Cliff mentioned 'pensions' in this context. It has nothing to do with anybodies pension. And I seriously doubt anybody would be too worried about Cliffs' retirement predicament! What I really find distasteful is this assumption that an individual has enough money! I'm not talking about Cliff Richard, I think he's just fighting his corner, and trying to protect his own interests. But isn't that what we all do? I think we're getting onto some very ambiguous ground here. If we want to get into people with too much money, lets take a swipe at Bill Gates, worth about 56 billion dollars. or Warren Buffet, 52 billion dollars. Does nobody think that's enough?

I still think it should be so. Not overly sure there should be a time limit. I would rather see the limit be until the demise of the individual. I don't like this inference that somebody has too much money, and we should deprive them of future earnings. All things are relative. I don't say this as somebody who will benefit in any way from this legislation, much to the contrary! My pension provision is nil and I daresay I will be working until I can no longer work, or I die. But I don't think you can take something from somebody because of a date! If that's the case, why 50 years? Lets screw the bastards now and cut it down to 5 years!

Nothing! Water is the matter with you?
Sorry! Couldn't resist. Carry on.

"From Within"
My mate Michel Camilo on piano.
Anthony Jackson on six-string bass.
and Horacio "El Negro" Hernández on drums.
I think that may be the most impressive trio I've ever seen! Quite a stunning track in all! The drummer impressed me as much as the bass and piano players. How many things can you hit at the same time? Like a whole percussion section all on his ownsome! Then the bass player does that little twiddly bit (Who does he look like?) which was just about the best thing I've ever seen on a bass! Loved it! And the most phenominalalal piano player! Thanks Lazz.

I think it's right and proper that it should be extended. Lot's of musos out there still slogging away after 50 years.

Story here. What do you think?

Well I have to say it's not really my bag of whelks! But if you're that sad determined, I'd go with Rudis' adive and get something a bit cheaper! It's not like you're looking for something with a good action is it?

Fantastic! I love the piano.

Given the choice, what guitar - amp combination would you like to have? Or do you already have the perfect setup? If so, what is it? What do you love about it?

Every guitar shop I've ever been in has guitars hanging up on the wall. As long as the hanger has a soft covering, I don't see that any harm would come to your guitars! Have a look here for some different type hangers.

I failed. Only wrote 3, with 3 more pending. Just kept running out of time!

I got my upgrades last week so have the full versions of Dimension and Rapture along with Z3ta+ etc.
I'm pretty much overwhelmed with even beginning to get a handle on all this amazing technology!
Also got the Sonar 7 Power! book as well as the Cakewalk Synthesizers book.
A lot of learning ahead for this ol' dog.

Keep us informed Kenny. What's Sonar 7 like?

I have set up another profile on my computer for when I want to record music. In this profile, I have disconnected the ethernet connection. I am gonna try going through the rest of those suggestions. If anybody wants to know how to set up a new profile? Just ask!

Mandolin
in Performance
Posted
I love the sound of the mandolin. So I bought one! Being worried that I might not be able to get my great pudgy hands round the small neck (Although it worked with my second wife!) I decided to go for a really cheap option and only paid 20 quid (That's GB quids) from ebay. I'm glad I did that! Because my fears were well founded! I can't play it. The neck is too small and the frets are to close together. So, What I want to know is, are there some alternative instruments I should be looking at similar to the Mandolin? What do you recomend? Links please!
